CT Construction Accident Low Back Workers' Compensation Injury Blog

The claimant's work related accident aggravated a prior low back degenerative condition. The claimant was formally diagnosed with an aggravation of pre existing lumbar spondylolisthesis at the L3-L4. The claimant's injury resulted in a ten percent impairment of the low back assigned by neurosurgeon Dr. Alan Waitze of NOSS of Waterbury, Connecticut. The claimant treated with chiropractic physician Dr. Steven Levy also of Woodbury, Connecticut who successfully performed a variety of modalities of care on behalf of the claimant. These modalities included massage, acupuncture, manipulation and muscle stimulation. The claimant required no spinal injections nor was low back surgery suggested. The case settled for $87,000.00 which included the paid permanency indemnity and stipulation proceeds.
